Date: January 8, 2022
Place: The Nile Coffee Shop

Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Price:  $10 online, $13 at the door

Eastside Eight- the storytelling slam proving the East Valley the hippest place in town- is BACK! We’ll kick off the new year with the them: I QUIT!
Never been to our storytelling slam? It’s a live event featuring eight amateur storytellers. Each storyteller tells a true, personal story that relates to the theme in 6 minutes or less. The audience then votes* who will be crowned storytelling victor. If you’re intrigued by the idea, but not yet ready to tell a story, we’ve adding a “Show and Tell” to our slam. Bring your rock collection, your favorite mug, or your childhood stuffed toy and tell us about it for a minute. It’ll warm you up for future performances!
*The voting mechanism is a Google Form. People can vote as often as they want for whomever they want. Copious amounts of voter fraud. And we joyfully let it slide, because it’s not really a competition.
