Todd Bookspan (NMLS #: 218341)
Raised in the Phoenix area, Todd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Todd started in the mortgage industry in 2001, and has originated over $350 million in home loans. In 2009, Todd was named one of the top 200 loan originators in the country, and one of the top 10 in Arizona by the Scotsman Guide. He operated a net branch of a Denver-based correspondent lender in Arizona for five years before joining HomeStreet Home Loans Mortgage in 2010, where he manages HomeStreet Home Loans’s Arizona branches with his wife Tara. Todd also hosts “Real Talk Arizona”, a weekly radio show in Phoenix, which airs Saturdays from 2-3 pm on 960AM KKNT.
As a certified mortgage planner, Todd is dedicated to putting the interests of his clients at the forefront of every transaction. This commitment has earned him a loyal base of clients as well as a strong foundation of referral business within the real estate and financial services communities.
Todd lives in Phoenix with his wife and three daughters. Spending time with them is definitely his top priority and favorite pastime.
Matt Baker (NMLS #: 190779)
Matt attended Arizona State University as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Raised in the mortgage industry, Matt got his start as a college intern for a large mortgage banking firm. After graduation, he attended a management training program for a national financial services company, learning the operations side of the mortgage business. When Matt graduated from this program, he came back to Arizona and started his career as a mortgage originator.
With more than fifteen years of lending experience, Matt is committed to educating homebuyers on each step of the home buying process. He believes that complete transparency and straightforward honesty are fundamental characteristics of an excellent mortgage advisor. Matt’s success is based on his honesty, accessibility, attention to detail and extensive knowledge of every facet of the mortgage loan process. Matt is licensed as a mortgage originator in Arizona, California, and Colorado.
Matt lives in Scottsdale with his wife Bonnie and their daughter Madeleine. Matt loves the warm Arizona weather and enjoys tennis, mountain biking and golf.
Tara Bookspan (NMLS #:218368)
Raised in Scottsdale, Tara attended the University of Arizona as an undergraduate, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. She also attended the University’s College of Law, where she earned Summa Cum Laude honors while completing her Juris Doctorate degree.
Prior to entering the mortgage industry, Tara practiced law in Arizona for ten years, focusing on the legal and business needs of companies and individuals in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, corporate finance, and general corporate matters. After several years managing a large mortgage origination team, Tara joined HomeStreet Home Loans Mortgage in 2010. Tara and her husband Todd manage HomeStreet Home Loans’s Arizona branches.
Tara and Todd have been married since 1990, and have three daughters, Lacey, Emeline and Giselle. They live in Phoenix, Arizona, and enjoy a variety of activities, including hiking, running and cycling.
